What we do

Keeping uri informed and connected

Pohotiare Hapu Trust supports hapū descendants with clear communication and places to gather for meetings, working bees, and whānau kaupapa.

Hui & AGM

Formal and informal hui for uri, including annual general meetings held in the Far North — historically at Te Reo Mihi Marae, Te Hāpua.

Whānau updates

Dates for meetings, working bees, and family gatherings shared so descendants near and far can stay involved in hapū life.

Charitable purpose

As a charitable trust entity, we hold and administer resources for the benefit of Pohotiare Hapū descendants and related kaupapa.

Who we are

Pohotiare Hapū

Pohotiare Hapū is a hapū of Te Tai Tokerau with strong connections to Te Hāpua and the northernmost whenua of Aotearoa. Descendants gather to uphold whakapapa, maintain relationships, and plan together for the future.

Public records and community sources place the Trust’s registered office at Domain Road, Waipapakauri, Awanui, in the Far North District — close to the wider Muriwhenua / Te Hiku landscape that frames our story.
